OBAJA FAVORIT HYMNE

1. AMAZING GRACE

Amazing grace!
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come

’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home
When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun

AJAIB BENAR ANUGERAH (KJ 40)

Ajaib benar anugerah
Pembaru hidupku
‘Ku hilang, buta, bercela
Oleh-nya ‘ku sembuh

Ketika insaf ‘ku cemas
Sekarang ‘ku lega
Syukur bebanku t’lah lepas
Berkat anugerah

‘Ku dapat janji yang teguh
‘Ku harap sabda-nya
Dan tuhanlah perisaiku
Tetap selamanya

Songwriter: John newton, 1779

Let the shower of blessing fall
We are waiting, we are waiting
Oh, revive the hearts of all

God is here! we feel His presence
In this consecrated place

Of His free, unbounded grace

God is here! oh, then, believing
Bring to Him our one desire
That His love may now be kindled
‘Till its flame each heart inspire

Savior, grant the prayer we offer
While in simple faith we bow
From the windows of Thy mercy
Pour us out a blessing now

ALLAH HADIR BAGI KITA (KJ 18)

Baharui hati kami oh curahkan kurnia
Biar kasih kurnia-nya menyegarkan kita t’rus

Allah hadir, sungguh hadir
Di jemaat-Nya yang kudus
Biar kasih kurnia-Nya
Menyegarkan kita t’rus

Allah hadir! O percaya
Dan berdoa pada-Nya
Agar kita dikobarkan
Oleh nyala kasih-Nya

Penebus, dengarkan kami!
Yang pada-Mu berseru
Buka tingkap anugrah-Mu
B’rikanlah berkat penuh!

3. BE NOT DISMAYED WHATE’ER BETIDE
/ GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU

Be not dismayed whate'er betide
God will take care of you
Beneath His wings of love abide
God will take care of you

Refrain
God will take care of you
Through every day, over all the way
He will take care of you
God will take care of you

Through days of toil when heart doth fail
God will take care of you
When dangers fierce your path assail
God will take care of you

All you may need He will provide
God will take care of you
Nothing you ask will be denied
God will take care of you

Lonely or sad, from friends apart
God will take care of you
He will give peace to your aching heart
God will take care of you!

No matter what may be the test
God will take care of you
Lean, weary one, upon His breast
God will take care of you

Masa depanmu kelam pekat?
Tuhan menjagamu

DipeliharaNya hidupmu
Tuhan menjagamu
dan didengarkanNya doamu
Tuhan menjagamu

Cobaan apa mengganggumu?
Tuhan menjagamu
Buatlah Yesus sandaranmu
Dia menjagamu

4. WHEN UPON LIFE’S BILLOWS / COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost
Count your many blessings, name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done

Refrain
Count your blessings, name them one by one
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one
*Count your many blessings, see what God hath done
(*And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done)

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly
And you will keep singing as the days go by

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings—wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

BILA TOPAN K’RAS MELANDA HIDUPMU (KJ 439)

Bila topan k’ras melanda hidupmu,
bila putus asa dan letih lesu,
berkat Tuhan satu-satu hitunglah,
kau niscaya kagum oleh kasihNya.

Refrein:
Berkat Tuhan, mari hitunglah,
kau ‘kan kagum oleh kasihNya
Berkat Tuhan, mari hitunglah
Kau niscaya kagum oleh kasihNya

Adakah beban membuat kau penat,
Salib yang kaupikul menekan berat?
Hitunglah berkatNya, pasti kau lega
Dan bernyanyi t’rus penuh bahagia!

Bila kau memandang harta orang lain,
Ingat janji Kristus yang lebih permai;
Hitunglah berkat yang tidak terbeli
Milikmu di sorga tiada terperi.

Dalam pergumulanmu di dunia
Janganlah kuatir, Tuhan adalah!
Hitunglah berkat sepanjang hidupmu,
Yakinlah, malaikat menyertaimu!

I will ever love and trust him
In his presence daily live

Refrain
I surrender all
I surrender all
All to thee my blessed savior

All to Jesus I surrender
Lord I give myself to thee
Fill me with thy love and power
Let thy blessings fall on me

All to Jesus I surrender
Now I feel the sacred flame
Oh the joy of full salvation
Glory glory to his name

In the words of Judson W. Van De Venter "The song was written while I was conducting a meeting at East Palestine, Ohio, in the home of George Sebring (founder of the Sebring Camp Meeting Bible Conference in Sebring, Ohio, and later developer of the town of Sebring, Florida). For some time, I had struggled between developing my talents in the field of art and going into full-time evan gelistic work. At last the pivotal hour of my life came, and I surrendered all. A new day was ushered in to my life. I became an evangelist and discovered down deep in my soul a talent hitherto unknown to me. God had hidden a song in my heart, and touching a tender chord, He caused me to sing."

Judson W. Van De Venter published a number of books of religious music, but this song must have been one of his favorites: its title "I Surrender All" was on Judson W. Van De Venter tombstone.

BERSERAH KEPADA YESUS (KJ 364)

Berserah kepada Yesus
tubuh, roh, dan jiwaku;
kukasihi, kupercaya,
kuikuti Dia t’rus.

Refrein
Aku berserah, aku berserah
kepadaMu, Jurus’lamat
aku berserah!

Berserah kepada Yesus
di kakiNya ‘ku sujud
Nikmat dunia kutinggalkan
Tuhan, t’rima anakMu!

Berserah kepada Yesus
aku jadi milikMu
B’rilah RohMu meyakinkan
bahwa Kau pun milikku!

Berserah kepada Yesus
kuberikan diriku.
B’ri kasihMu dan kuasaMu
ya, berkati anakMu!

Berserah kepada Yesus
kurasakan apiNya
Kar’na s’lamat yang sempurna
puji, puji namaNya!

7. ROCK OF AGES

Rock of ages, cleft for me
Let me hide myself in Thee
Let the water and the blood
From thy side, a healing flood
Be of sin the double cure
Save from wrath and make me pure

Should my tears forever flow
Should my zeal no langour know
All for sin could not atone
Thou must save, and Thou alone
In my hand no price I bring
Simply to Thy cross I cling.

While I draw this fleeting breath
When mine eyelids close in death
When I rise to worlds unknown
And behold Thee on Thy throne
Rock of ages, cleft for me
Let me hide myself in Thee

BATU KARANG YANG TEGUH (KJ 37)

Batu Karang yang teguh, Kau tempatku berteduh
Kar’na dosaku berat dan kuasanya menyesak
Oh, bersihkan diriku oleh darah lambungMu
Walau aku berjerih dan menangis tak henti
apapun usahaku, tak menghapus dosaku
Hanya oleh kurbanMu Kaus’lamatkan diriku

Tiada lain kupegang, hanya salib dan iman
dalam kehampaanku kudambakan rahmatMu
Tanpa Dikau, Tuhanku, takkan hidup jiwaku

Bila tiba saatnya kutinggalkan dunia
dan Kaupanggil diriku ke hadapan takhtaMu
Batu Karang yang teguh, Kau tempatku berteduh

Syair: Rock of Ages, Augustus M. Toplady, 1775
Lagu: Thomas Hastings, 1832
Terjemahan: Yamuger, 1985

8. THE CHURCH'S ONE FOUNDATION
(Samuel J. Stone, 1839-1900)

The Church's one foundation
Is Jesus Christ, her Lord
She is His new creation
By water and the Word
From heaven He came and sought her
To be His holy bride
With His own blood He bought her
And for her life He died

Elect from every nation
Yet one o'er all the earth
Her charter of salvation
One Lord, one faith, one birth
One holy name she blesses
Partakes one holy food
And to one hope she presses
With every grace endued

The Church shall never perish!
Her dear Lord, to defend
To guide, sustain, and cherish
Is with her to the end
Though there be those that hate her
False sons within her pale
Against both foe and traitor
She ever shall prevail

Though with a scornful wonder
Men see her sore oppressed
By schisms rent asunder
By heresies distressed
Yet saints their watch are keeping
Their cry goes up, "How long?"
And soon the night of weeping
Shall be the morn of song

Mid toil and tribulation
And tumult of her war
She waits the consummation
Of peace forevermore
Til with the vision glorious
Her longing eyes are blest
And the great Church victorious
Shall be the Church at rest

BATU PENJURU GEREJA (KJ 252)

Batu penjuru G’reja
Dan dasar yang esa
Yaitu Yesus Kristus
Pendiri umatNya
Dengan kurban darahNya
Gereja ditebus
Baptisan dan firmanNya
Membuatnya kudus

Terpanggil dari bangsa
Seluruh dunia
Manunggallah Gereja
Ber-Tuhan Yang Esa
Aneka kurnianya
Esa baptisannya
Esa perjamuannya
Esa harapannya

Dilanda perpecahan
Dan faham yang sesat
Jemaat diresahkan
Tekanan yang berat
Kaum kudus menyerukan
“Berapa lamakah?”
Akhirnya malam duka
Diganti t’rang cerah

Gereja takkan punah
Selama-lamanya
Dibimbing tangan Tuhan
Dibela kasihNya
Ditantang pengkhianat
Dan banyak musuhnya
Bertahanlah jemaat
Dan jaya mulia

Di dalam pencobaan
Dan perjuangannya
Dinantikannya zaman
Sejahtera baka.
Di mata tercerminkan
Gereja yang menang
Mencapai perhentian
Sentosa cemerlang

Gereja yang di sorga
Dan yang di dunia
Bersatu dalam Tuhan
Ketiga Yang Esa
Ya Tuhan, b’ri anugerah
Supaya kami pun
Engkau tempatkan juga
Kekal di rumahMu

Songwriter: Samuel J. Stone, 1866
Lagu: Samuel S. Wesley, 1864
Terjemahan: Yamuger, 1982

9. THERE'S A CALL COMES RINGING
/SEND THE LIGHT

There's a call comes ringing over the restless wave
"Send the light! Send the light!"
There are souls to rescue there are souls to save
Send the light! Send the light!

Refrain
Send the light, the blessed Gospel light
Let it shine from shore to shore!
Send the light, the blessed Gospel light
Let it shine forevermore!

We have heard the Macedonian call today
"Send the light! Send the light!"
And a golden offering at the cross we lay
Send the light! Send the light!

Let us pray that grace may everywhere abound
"Send the light! Send the light!"
And a Christlike spirit everywhere be found
Send the light! Send the light!

Let us not grow weary in the work of love
"Send the light! Send the light!"
Let us gather jewels for a crown above
Send the light! Send the light!

BERKUMANDANG SUARA DARI SEBERANG (KJ 425)

Berkumandang suara dari seberang
"Kirimlah cahyamu!"
Banyak jiwa dalam dosa mengerang
"Kirimlah cahyamu!"

Refrain
Kirimlah pelita Injili
Menyentak yang terlelap
Kirimlah pelita Injili
Menyentak yang terlelap

Kita t'lah dengar jeritan dari jauh
"Kirimlah cahyamu!"
Bantuanmu b'rikan, janganlah jemu
"Kirimlah cahyamu!"

Jangan kita tinggal diam mendengar
"Kirimlah cahyamu!"
Injil Tuhan haruslah kita sebar
"Kirimlah cahyamu!"

10. O HAPPY DAY

O happy day, that fixed my choice
On Thee, my Savior and my God!
Well may this glowing heart rejoice
And tell its raptures all abroad

Refrain
Happy day, happy day
When Jesus washed my sins away!
He taught me how to watch and pray
And live rejoicing every day
Happy day, happy day
When Jesus washed my sins away!

O happy bond, that seals my vows
To Him Who merits all my love!
Let cheerful anthems fill His house
While to that sacred shrine I move

It’s done: the great transaction’s done!
I am the Lord’s and He is mine
He drew me and I followed on
Charmed to confess the voice divine

Now rest, my long-divided heart
Fixed on this blissful center, rest
Here have I found a nobler part
Here heav’nly pleasures fill my breast

High heav’n, that heard the solemn vow
That vow renewed shall daily hear
Till in life’s latest hour I bow
And bless in death a bond so dear

BETAPA INDAH HARINYA (KJ 395)

Betapa indah harinya
Saat kupilih Penebus
Alangkah sukacitanya
‘Ku memb’ritakannya terus

Refrein
Indahlah harinya
Yesus membasuh dosaku
‘Ku diajari Penebus
Berjaga dan berdoa t’rus
Indahlah harinya
Yesus membasuh dosaku

Betapa indah janjiNya
Yang t’lah mengikat hatiku
Kub’ri kasihku padaNya
Serta menyanyi bersyukur!

Sudah ‘ku jadi milikNya
Ia pun milikku kekal
Yakin penuh ‘ku ikutlah
Suara Tuhan kukenal

Sentosalah, hai hatiku
Pelindungmu percayalah!
Jangan tinggalkan Tuhanmu
Sumber segala kurnia

Setiap janji hatiku
Kembali kubaruilah
Sampai kepada ajalku
Kupuji pengasihanNya

Lagu: Edward F. Rimbault, 1854
Terjemahan: Yamuger, 1978

11. O LORD MY GOD! WHEN I IN AWESOME WONDER

O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Refrain
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin

When Christ shall come with shouts of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

BILA KULIHAT BINTANG GEMERLAPAN (KJ 64)

Bila kulihat bintang gemerlapan
Dan bunyi guruh riuh kudengar
Ya Tuhanku, tak putus aku heran
Melihat ciptaanMu yang besar

Refrain
Maka jiwaku pun memujiMu
"Sungguh besar Kau, Allahku!"
Maka jiwaku pun memujiMu
"Sungguh besar Kau, Allahku!"

Ya Tuhanku, pabila kurenungkan
PemberianMu dalam Penebus
'Ku tertegun bagiku dicurahkan
Oleh PutraMu darahNya kudus

Pabila nanti Kristus memanggilku
Sukacita amatlah besar
Kar'na terkabullah yang kurindukan
Melihat Dikau, Tuhanku akbar

DÅ BRISTER SJÄLEN UT I LOVSÅNGSLJUD

Då brister själen ut i lovsångsljud
O store Gud! O store Gud!
Då brister själen ut i lovsångsljud:
O store Gud! O store Gud!

Songwriter: Carl Gustaf Boberg, 1886
Lagu: Lagu rakyat Swedia
Terjemahan: E.L. Pohan Shn., 1968

12. WHEN THE TRUMPET OF THE LORD SHALL SOUND
/WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound
And time shall be no more
And the morning breaks e
ternal, bright and fair
When the saved of earth shall gather
Over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder

I’ll be there

Refrain
When the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder
I’ll be there

On that bright and cloudless morning
When the dead in Christ shall rise
And the glory of His resurrection share
When His chosen ones shall gather

To their home beyond the skies
And the roll is called up yonder

I’ll be there

Let us labor for the Master
From the dawn ‘till setting sun
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care
Then when all of life is over

And our work on earth is done
And the roll is called up yonder

I’ll be there

BILA SANGKAKALA MENGGEGAP (KJ 278)

Bila sangkakala menggegap dan zaman berhenti
fajar baru yang abadi merekah
bila nanti dibacakan nama orang tertebus
pada saat itu aku pun serta

Refrein

Terjemahan: E. L. Pohan Shn., 1978/Yamuger, 1983

13. THE LORD’S OUR ROCK
/A SHELTER IN THE TIME OF STORM

The Lord's our Rock, in Him we hide
A Shelter in the time of storm
Secure whatever I’ll betide
A Shelter in the time of storm

Refrain
O, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land
A weary land, a weary land
O, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land
A Shelter in the time of storm

A shade by day, defense by night
A Shelter in the time of storm
No fears alarm, no foes afright
A Shelter in the time of storm

The raging storms may round us beat
A Shelter in the time of storm
We'll never leave our safe retreat
A Shelter in the time of storm

O Rock divine, O Refuge dear
A Shelter in the time of storm
Be Thou our Helper ever near
A Shelter in the time of storm

The text for this hymn was written by Vernon J. Charlesworth, an English pastor who also served as headmaster of Charles Spurgeon’s Stockwell Orphanage. Ira Sankey, American gospel musician and publisher, discovered the song in a small London paper and gave it a singable new melody, adding a refrain that could be easily sung.

DI BADAI TOPAN DUNIA (KJ 440)

Di badai topan dunia
Tuhanlah Perlindunganmu
kendati goncang semesta
Tuhanlah Perlindunganmu!

Refrein
Ya, Yesus Gunung Batu
Di dunia, di dunia, di dunia
Ya, Yesus Gunung Batu di dunia
Tempat berlindung yang teguh

Baik siang maupun malam g’lap
Tuhanlah Perlindunganmu
niscaya takutmu lenyap
Tuhanlah Perlindunganmu!

Dan biar badai menyerang
Tuhanlah Perlindunganmu
padaNya kau tetap tent’ram
Tuhanlah Perlindunganmu!

Ya Gunung Batu yang tetap
Engkaulah Perlindunganku
di tiap waktu dan tempat
Engkaulah Perlindunganku!

Songwriter: Vernon J. Charlesworth, 1838 –?
Lagu: Ira D. Sankey, 1885
Terjemahan: Yamuger, 1978

14. WHAT CAN WASH AWAY MY SIN

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Refrain
Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

For my cleansing this I see
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
For my pardon this my plea
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Nothing can my sin erase
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
Naught of works, 'tis all of grace
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

This is all my hope and peace
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
This is all my righteousness
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

DIHAPUSKAN DOSAKU (KJ 36)

Refrein
O, darah Tuhanku, sumber pembasuhku!
Sucilah hidupku hanya oleh darah Yesus

Pengampunan dosaku hanya oleh darah Yesus
penyucian hidupku hanya oleh darah Yesus

Pendamaian bagiku hanya oleh darah Yesus
bukan oleh amalku: hanya oleh darah Yesus

Damai dan harapanku hanya oleh darah Yesus
Allah membenarkanku hanya oleh darah Yesus

15. ALL THE WAY MY SAVIOR LEADS ME

All the way my Savior leads me
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me
Jesus doeth all things well
For I know, whate’er befall me
Jesus doeth all things well

All the way my Savior leads me
Cheers each winding path I tread
Gives me grace for every trial
Feeds me with the living Bread
Though my weary steps may falter
And my soul athirst may be
Gushing from the Rock before me
Lo! A spring of joy I see
Gushing from the Rock before me
Lo! A spring of joy I see

All the way my Savior leads me
O the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father’s house above
When my spirit, clothed immortal
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages
Jesus led me all the way
This my song through endless ages
Jesus led me all the way

DI JALANKU ‘KU DIIRING (KJ 408)

Di jalanku ‘ku diiring oleh Yesus Tuhanku
Apakah yang kurang lagi, jika Dia Panduku?
Diberi damai sorgawi, asal imanku teguh

Jika jiwaku membubung meninggalkan dunia
Kunyanyikan tak hentinya kasih dan pimpinanNya
Kunyanyikan tak hentinya kasih dan pimpinanNya

Songwriter: Fanny J. Crosby, 1875
Lagu: Robert Lowry 1875
Terjemahan: E.L. Pohan, 1970

16. GEMBALA BAIK BERSULING NAN MERDU (415)

Gembala baik, bersuling nan merdu
membimbing aku pada air tenang
dan membaringkan aku berteduh
di padang rumput hijau berkenan

Refrein
O, Gembalaku itu Tuhanku
Membuat aku tent’ram hening
Mengalir dalam sungai kasihku
Kuasa damai cerlang, bening

Kepada domba haus dan lesu
Gembala baik memb’rikan air segar
Ke dalam hati haus dan sendu
Dib’riNya air hidup yang benar

Di jalan maut kelam sekalipun
‘ku tidak takut pada seteru
Sebab Gembala adalah Teman
Dan Jurus’lamat bagi diriku

Syair dan lagu: C. Akwan, 1984, berdasarkan Mazmur 23

17. STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS

Stand up, stand up for Jesus
Ye soldiers of the cross
Lift high His royal banner
It must not suffer loss
From vict'ry unto vict'ry
His army shall He lead
Till ev'ry foe is vanquished
And Christ is Lord indeed
Stand up, stand up for Jesus
The trumpet call obey
Forth to the mighty conflict
In this His glorious day
Ye who are men, now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes
Let courage rise with danger
And strength to strength oppose

Stand up, stand up for Jesus
Stand in His strength alone
The arm of flesh will fail you
Ye dare not trust your own
Put out the gospel armor
Each piece put on with pray'r
Where duty calls, or danger
Be never wanting there

Stand up, stand up for Jesus
The strife will not be long
This day the noise of battle
The next the victor's song
To him who overcometh
A crown of life shall be
He, with the King of glory
Shall reign eternally

HAI BANGKIT BAGI YESUS (KJ 340)

Hai bangkit bagi Yesus,
pahlawan salib-Nya!
Anjungkan panji Raja
Dan jangan menyerah.
Dengan semakin jaya
Tuhanmu ikutlah,
Sehingga tiap lawan
Berlutut menyembah.

Hai bangkit bagi Yesus,
Dengar panggilanNya!
Hadapilah tantangan,
Hari-Nya inilah!
Dan biar tak terbilang
pasukan kuasa g’lap,
Semakin berbahaya,
Semakin kau tegap.

Hai bangkit bagi Yesus,
Pohonkan kuatNya;
Tenagamu sendiri
Tentu tak cukuplah.
Kenakan perlengkapan
Senjata Roh Kudus;
Berjaga dan berdoa
Supaya siap t’rus!

Hai bangkit bagi Yesus!
Tak lama masa p’rang:
Gaduhnya ‘kan diganti
Nyanyian pemenang.
Yang jaya diberikan
Mahkota yang baka,
Bersama Raja mulia
Berkuasa s’lamanya.

18. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING

There shall be showers of blessing
This is the promise of love
There shall be seasons refreshing
Sent from the Savior above

Refrain
Showers of blessing
Showers of blessing we need
Mercy-drops round us are falling
But for the showers we plead

There shall be showers of blessing
Precious reviving again
Over the hills and the valleys
Sound of abundance of rain
There shall be showers of blessing
Send them upon us, O Lord
Grant to us now a refreshing
Come, and now honor Thy Word

There shall be showers of blessing
Oh, that today they might fall
Now as to God we’re confessing
Now as on Jesus we call!

There shall be showers of blessing
If we but trust and obey
There shall be seasons refreshing
If we let God have His way

HUJAN BERKAT ‘KAN TERCURAH (KJ 403)

Hujan berkat ‘kan tercurah
Itulah janji kudus
Hidup segar dari sorga
‘Kan diberi Penebus

Refrain
Hujan berkat-MU
Itu yang kami perlu
Sudah menetes berkat-MU
Biar tercurah penuh!

Hujan berkat ‘kan tercurah
Hidup kembali segar
Di atas bukit dan lurah *
Bunyi derai terdengar

Hujan berkat ‘kan tercurah
Kini kami berseru
“B’rilah dengan limpah ruah
Agar genap sabda-MU!”

Hujan berkat ‘kan tercurah
Kami menantikannya
Hati telah kami buka
Yesus, Kau isi seg’ra

19. I WILL FOLLOW THEE

I will follow Thee, my Savior
Wheresoe’er my lot may be
Where Thou goest I will follow
Yes, my Lord, I’ll follow Thee

Refrain
I will follow Thee, my Savior
Thou didst shed Thy blood for me
And though all men should forsake Thee
By Thy grace I’ll follow Thee

Though the road be rough and stormy
Trackless as the foaming sea
Thou hast trod this way before me
And I gladly follow Thee

Though ’tis lone and dark and dreary
Cheerless though my path may be
If Thy voice I hear before me
Fearlessly I’ll follow Thee

Though I meet with tribulation
Sorely tempted though I be
I remember Thou wast tempted
And rejoice to follow Thee

Though Thou leadest through afflictions
Poor, forsaken though I be
Thou wast destitute, afflicted
And I only follow Thee

IKUT DIKAU SAJA TUHAN (KJ 376)

Ikut Dikau saja Tuhan
jalan damai bagiku
Aku s’lamat dan sentosa
hanya oleh darahMu

Refrein
Aku ingin ikut Dikau
dan mengabdi padaMu
dalam Dikau, Jurus’lamat
‘Ku bahagia penuh!

Ikut Dikau di sengsara
kar’na janjiMu teguh
atas kuasa kegelapan
‘Ku menang bersamaMu

Ikut dan menyangkal diri
Aku buang yang fana
Hanya turut kehendakMu
Dan padaMu berserah

Ikut dalam kesucian
Lahir, batin yang bersih
Aku rindu mengikuti
Suri yang Engkau beri

20. TAKE THE NAME OF JESUS WITH YOU
/PRECIOUS NAME

Take the Name of Jesus with you
Child of sorrow and of woe
It will joy and comfort give you
Take it then, where’er you go

Refrain
Precious Name, oh, how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of Heav’n
Precious Name, oh, how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of Heav’n

Take the Name of Jesus ever
As a shield from every snare
If temptations round you gather
Breathe that holy Name in prayer

Oh, the precious Name of Jesus!
How it thrills our souls with joy
When His loving arms receive us
And His songs our tongues employ!

At the Name of Jesus bowing
Falling prostrate at His feet
King of kings in heav’n we’ll crown Him
When our journey is complete

INGAT AKAN NAMA YESUS (KJ 344)

Ingat akan nama Yesus
kau yang susah dan sedih
Nama itu menghiburmu
k’mana saja kau pergi

Refrein
Indahlah nama-Nya
Pengharapan dunia!
Indahlah nama-Nya
Suka sorga yang baka!

Bawa nama Tuhan Yesus
Itulah perisaimu
Bila datang pencobaan
Itu yang menolongmu

Sungguh agung nama Yesus
Hati kita bergemar
Bila kita dirangkulNya
Sukacita pun besar

Bila mendengar namaNya
Baiklah kita menyembah
Dan mengaku Dia Raja
Kini dan selamanya

21. JOYFUL, JOYFUL, WE ADORE THEE

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee
God of glory, Lord of love
Hearts unfold like flow’rs before Thee
Op’ning to the sun above
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness
Drive the dark of doubt away
Giver of immortal gladness
Fill us with the light of day!

All Thy works with joy surround Thee
Earth and heav’n reflect Thy rays
Stars and angels sing around Thee
Center of unbroken praise
Field and forest, vale and mountain
Flow’ry meadow, flashing sea
Singing bird and flowing fountain
Call us to rejoice in Thee

Thou art giving and forgiving
Ever blessing, ever blest
Wellspring of the joy of living
Ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our Brother
All who live in love are Thine
Teach us how to love each other
Lift us to the joy divine

Mortals, join the happy chorus
Which the morning stars began
Father love is reigning o’er us
Brother love binds man to man
Ever singing, march we onward
Victors in the midst of strife
Joyful music leads us Sunward
In the triumph song of life

Bagai bunga t’rima siang, hati kami pun mekar
Kabut dosa dan derita, kebimbangan, t’lah lenyap
Sumber suka yang abadi, b’ri sinarMu menyerap

Kau memb’ri, Kau mengampuni, kau limpahkan rahmatMu
Agar kami menyayangi, meneladan kasihMu

Semuanya yang Kaucipta memantulkan sinarMu
Para malak, tata surya naikkan puji bagiMu
Padang, hutan dan samud’ra, bukit, gunung dan lembah
Margasatwa bergembira ‘ngajak kami pun serta

Mari kita pun memuji dengan suara menggegap
menyanyikan kuasa kasih yang teguh serta tetap
Kita maju dan bernyanyi, jaya walau diserang
Ikut mengagungkan kasih dalam lagu pemenang

22. DAY BY DAY
Carolina Sandell Berg (1832-1903)

Day by day, and with each passing moment
Strength I find, to meet my trials here
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear
He Whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure
Mingling toil with peace and rest

Every day, the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour
All my cares He fain would bear, and cheer me
He Whose Name is Counselor and Power
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid
“As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,”
This the pledge to me He made

Help me then in every tribulation
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord
That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation
Offered me within Thy holy Word
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting
Ever to take, as from a father’s hand
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting
‘Till I reach the promised land

KEKUATAN SERTA PENGHIBURAN (KJ 332)

Kekuatan serta penghiburan diberikan Tuhan padaku
Tiap hari aku dibimbingNya; tipa jam dihibur hatiku

Tiap hari Tuhan besertaku, diberi rahmatNya tiap jam

24. BLESSED ASSURANCE

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

Refrain
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, perfect delight
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight
Angels, descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love

Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blest
Watching and waiting, looking above
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love

"Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!" This song proclaims that I know God is there, and I know he waits for me in Heaven. I see hints of it all around me, and I spend my life praising him, "Watching and waiting, looking above". I know what Heaven hold's is worth it. "This is my story, this is my song".
Blessed Assurance was written by Fanny Crosby, the most prolific song writer, and published in 1873. The music was composed by Phoebe P. Knapp. This traditional hymn is one that is loved by many.

KU BERBAHAGIA ( KJ 392)

Yesus abadi kepunyaanku
Aku waris-Nya ‘ku ditebus
Ciptaan baru rohul kudus
Aku bernyanyi bahagia
Memuji Yesus selamanya
Aku bernyanyi bahagia
Memuji Yesus selamanya

Pasrah sempurna, nikmat penuh
Suka sorgawi melimpahiku
Lagu malaikat amat merdu
Kasih dan rahmat besertaku
Aku serahkan diri penuh
Dalam Tuhanku hatiku teduh
Sambil menyongsong kembali-nya
‘Ku diliputi anugerah

25. NEARER MY GOD TO THEE
Sarah Flower Adams (1805–1848)

Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee!
E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me
Still all my song shall be nearer, my God, to Thee

Refrain
Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee!
Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down
Darkness be over me, my rest a stone
Yet in my dreams I'd be nearer, my God, to Thee

There let the way appear steps unto heav'n
All that Thou sendest me in mercy giv'n
Angels to beckon me nearer, my God, to Thee

Then with my waking thoughts bright with Thy praise
Out of my stony griefs Bethel I'll raise
So by my woes to be nearer, my God, to Thee

Or if on joyful wing, cleaving the sky
Sun, moon, and stars forgot, upwards I fly
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee

There in my Father’s home, safe and at rest
There in my Savior’s love, perfectly blest
Age after age to be, nearer my God to Thee
(A sixth verse was above added to the hymn by Edward H. Bickersteth, Jr)

"Nearer, My God, to Thee" is a 19th century Christian hymn by Sarah Flower Adams, based loosely on Genesis 28:11–19, the story of Jacob's dream.Genesis 28:11–12 can be translated as follows: "So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it..." It is most famous as the alleged last song the band on RMS Titanic played before the ship sank.

MAKIN DEKAT TUHAN (KJ 401)

Makin dekat, Tuhan, kepada-Mu
Walaupun saliblah mengengkatku
Inilah laguku dekat kepada-Mu
Makin dekat, Tuhan, kepada-Mu

Berbantal batu pun ‘ku mau rebah
Bagai musafir yang lunglai, lelah
Asal di mimpiku dekat kepada-Mu
Makin dekat, Tuhan, kepada-Mu

Buatlah tangga-Mu tampak jelas,
Dan para malak-Mu yang bergegas
Mengimbau diriku dekat kepadaMu
Makin dekat, Tuhan, kepada-Mu

Batu deritaku ‘kan kubentuk
Menjadi Betelku, kokoh teguh
Jiwaku berseru, dekat kepada-Mu
Makin dekat, Tuhan, kepada-Mu

Songwriter: Sarah Flower Adams, 1841
Lagu: Eliza Flower Adams, 1841

26. I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED

I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own

Refrain
But “I know Whom I have believed
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto Him against that day.”

I know not how this saving faith
To me He did impart
Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart

I know not how the Spirit moves
Convincing men of sin
Revealing Jesus through the Word
Creating faith in Him

I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me
Of weary ways or golden days
Before His face I see

I know not when my Lord may come
At night or noonday fair
Nor if I walk the vale with Him
Or meet Him in the air

KU HERAN ALLAH MAU MEMB’RI (KJ 387)

'Ku heran, Allah mau membr'i rahmatNya padaku
Dan Kristus sudi menebus yang hina bagaiku!

Refrain
Namun 'ku tahu yang kupercaya
Dan aku yakin 'kan kuasa-Nya
Ia menjaga yang kutaruhkan
Hingga hari-Nya kelak!

'Ku heran, oleh rahmatNya hatiku beriman
Dan oleh kuasa SabdaNya jiwaku pun tent'ram

'Ku heran, oleh Roh Kudus 'ku sadar dosaku
Dan dalam Firman kukenal siapa Penebus

Seluruh jalan hidupku tetap rahasia
Seb'lum 'ku jumpa ajalku dan nampak wajahNya

Ku tidak tahu harinya k'lak kembali Tuhanku
'Ku sudah mati ataukah 'ku langsung bertemu

27. DOWN IN THE VALLEY WITH MY SAVIOUR I WOULD GO

Down in the valley with my Savior I would go
Where the flowers are blooming and the sweet waters flow
Everywhere He leads me I would follow, follow on
Walking in His footsteps till the crown be won.

Refrain
Follow! follow! I would follow Jesus!
Anywhere, everywhere, I would follow on!
Follow! follow! I would follow Jesus!
Everywhere He leads me I would follow on!

Down in the valley with my Savior I would go
Where the storms are sweeping and the dark waters flow
With His hand to lead me I will never, never fear
Dangers cannot fright me if my Lord is near

Down in the valley, or upon the mountain steep
Close beside my Savior would my heart ever keep
He will lead me safely in the path that He has trod
Up to where they gather in the rest of God

KU MAU BERJALAN DENGAN JURUS’LAMATKU (KJ 370)

‘Ku mau berjalan dengan Jurus’lamatku
di lembah berbunga dan berair sejuk
Ya, kemana juga aku mau mengikut-Nya
sampai aku tiba di neg’ri baka

Refrein
Ikut, ikut, ikut Tuhan Yesus
‘ku tetap mendengar dan mengikut-Nya
Ikut, ikut, ikut Tuhan Yesus
ya, ke mana juga ‘ku mengikut-Nya!

‘Ku mau berjalan dengan Jurus’lamatku
di lembah gelap, di badai yang menderu
Aku takkan takut di bahaya apa pun
bila ‘ku dibimbing tangan Tuhanku

Bersama Jurus’lamat hatiku teguh
di lembah dan bukit yang perlu kutempuh
Tuhanku membimbing aku pada jalanNya
yang menuju rumah Allah yang baka

28. SAFE IN THE ARMS OF JESUS

Safe in the arms of Jesus
Safe on His gentle breast
There by His love o'ershaded
Sweetly my soul shall rest
Hark! 'tis the voice of angels
Borne in a song to me
Over the fields of glory
Over the jasper sea

Refrain
Safe in the arms of Jesus
Safe on His gentle breast
There by His love o'ershaded
Sweetly my soul shall rest

Safe in the arms of Jesus
Safe from corroding care
Safe from the world's temptations
Sin cannot harm me there
Free from the blight of sorrow
Free from my doubts and fears
Only a few more trials
Only a few more tears

Jesus, my heart's dear refuge
Jesus has died for me
Firm on the Rock of Ages
Ever my trust shall be
Here let me wait with patience
Wait till the night is o'er
Wait till I see the morning
Break on the golden shore

S’LAMAT DI TANGAN YESUS (KJ 388)

S’lamat di tangan Yesus
aman pelukanNya
dalam teduh kasihNya
aku bahagia
Lagu merdu malaikat
olehku terdengar
dari neg’ri mulia
damai sejahtera.

Refrein
S’lamat di tangan Yesus
aman pelukanNya
dalam teduh kasihNya
aku bahagia

S’lamat di tangan Yesus
Aku tent’ram penuh
Dosa pun dan cobaan
Jauh dari diriku
Duka, cemas dan bimbang
Kuasanya tak tetap
Goda dan air mata
Akan seg’ra lenyap

Yesus, Perlindunganku
T’lah mati bagiku
PadaNya ‘ku percaya
Yesus kekal teguh
Biar bertabah hati
‘Ku menantikanNya
Sampai hariNya tiba
Dan fajar merekah

29. I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY
A. Katherine Hankey (1834-1911)

I love to tell the story of unseen things above
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do

REFRAIN
I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love

I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee

I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat
What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God's own holy Word

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
'twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word. I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory, to tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love. I love to tell the story, for those who know it best Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest. And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song, ’twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

"This is from a long poem on the life of Jesus that was written in 1866. It is in two parts. The first part is a poem of fifty stanzas, and is titled, “The Story Wanted,” being dated January 29, 1866. The second part is titled “The Story Told,” and is dated November 18, 1866. It is said that the author had a serious spell of sickness just before this poem was composed, and that she occupied the long days of convalescence in writing the poem. Certain verses were taken from Part I by Dr. W. H. Doane in 1867 to make the popular and familiar hymn beginning, “Tell me the old, old story,” for which he composed the familiar tune to which those words are commonly sung. From Part II certain verses have been selected to make the above hymn, “I Love to Tell the Story,” the tune to which was composed by W. G. Fischer. This is one of the most popular of all modern hymns, and has been translated into several different languages. These and other hymns by the author have been published from time to time in different forms, sometimes accompanied by tunes composed by herself. Many of her hymns are found in a little volume which she published in 1870, titled Heart to Heart. Very few hymns written in the last fifty years have so taken hold of the hearts of the people, both the young and the old, as has this simple little song." Nutter, Charles S. and Wilbur F. Tillett. The Hymns and Hymn Writers of the Church. New York: The Methodist Book Concern, 1911.

KU SUKA MENUTURKAN (KJ 427)

‘Ku suka menuturkan cerita mulia,
cerita Tuhan Yesus dan cinta kasihNya
'Ku suka menuturkan cerita yang benar
penawar hati rindu, pelipur terbesar.

Refrain
'Ku suka menuturkan, 'ku suka memasyhurkan
cerita Tuhan Yesus dan cinta kasihNya

'Ku suka menuturkan cerita mulia
yang sungguh melebihi impian dunia
'Ku suka menuturkan semua padamu
sebab cerita itu membawa s'lamatku

'Ku suka menuturkan cerita mulia
setiap kuulangi bertambah manisnya
'Ku suka menuturkan sabdaNya yang besar
dan yang belum percaya, supaya mendengar

'Ku suka menuturkan cerita mulia
pun bagi yang percaya tak hilang indahnya
Dan nanti kunyanyikan di sorga yang kekal
cerita termulia yang lama kukenal

Songwriter: A. Catherina Hankey 1866
Lagu: Wiliam G. Fischer, 1869
Terjemahan: Yamuger, 1981

Katherine Hankey suka memberitahu orang lain tentang Juruselamatnya. Dari paro kedua puisinya itulah syair bagi himne "I Love To Tell The Story" (aku suka menuturkan cerita itu) berasal.

30. ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS ONWARD

Onward, Christian Soldiers Onward, marching as to war
With the cross of Jesus going on before
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe
Forward into battle see His banners go!

Refrain
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war
With the cross of Jesus going on before

At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee
On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise
Brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise

Like a mighty army moves the church of God
Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod
We are not divided, all one body we
One in hope and doctrine, one in charity

Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane
But the church of Jesus constant will remain
Gates of hell can never ’gainst that church prevail
We have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail

Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng
Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song
Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King
This through countless ages men and angels sing

MAJU, LASKAR KRISTUS (KJ 339)

Maju, laskar Kristus, lawan kuasa g'lap!
Ikut salib Yesus, sungguh dan tetap!
Rajamu sendiri jalan di depan
majulah, iringi panji cemerlang!

Refrain
Maju, laskar Kristus, lawan kuasa g'lap!
Ikut salib Yesus, sungguh dan tetap!

Saat dianjungkan panji Penebus
kuasa Iblis mundur, dikalahkan t'rus
Goncangkanlah neraka, kar'na mendengar
sorak-soraianmu nyaring menggegar

Bagai laskar jaya G'reja maju t'rus
di jejak teladan saksi yang kudus
Kita satu tubuh yang kudus dan am
satu pengharapan, satu pun iman

Kuasa duniawi timbul tenggelam
tapi G'reja Kristus takkan terbenam!
Alam maut tak sanggup menjatuhkannya
Kristus memenuhi isi janjiNya

Kar'na itu, maju! Ikut salib t'rus
turutlah memuji Raja Penebus
"Hormat, kemuliaan, Tuhan, t'rimalah!"
Insan dan malaikat sujud menyembah

Songwriter: Onward, Christian Soldiers, Sabine Baring-Gould 1864
Lagu: Arthur Seymour Sullivan 1871
Terjemahan: Yamuger 1975

Atas nasihat orang tua Grace, Pdt.

Baring-Gould selalu rajin bekerja.

31. ABOVE THE HILLS OF TIME

Above the hills of time the cross is gleaming
Fair as the sun when night has turned to day
And from it love’s pure light is richly streaming
To cleanse the heart and banish sin away
To this dear cross the eyes of men are turning
Today as in the ages lost to sight
And so for Thee, O Christ, men’s hearts are yearning
As shipwrecked seamen yearn for morning light

The cross, O Christ, Thy wondrous love revealing
Awakes our hearts as with the light of morn
And pardon o’er our sinful spirits stealing
Tells us that we, in Thee, have been reborn
Like echoes to sweet temple bells replying
Our hearts, O Lord, make answer to Thy love
And we will love Thee with a love undying
‘Till we are gathered to Thy home above

Music aficionados will recognize this as the tune used with Danny Boy. The music may have been in written in the 17th Century by Rory Dall O’Cahan (also known as Rory Dall Morison). The tune name probably comes from association with the words of the song Londonderry Air.

MENJULANG NYATA ATAS BUKIT KALA (KJ 183)

Menjulang nyata atas bukit kala
t’rang benderang salibMu, Tuhanku.
Dari sinarnya yang menyala-nyala
memancar kasih agung dan restu.
Seluruh umat insan menengadah
ke arah cahya kasih yang mesra.
Bagai pelaut yang karam merindukan
di ufuk timur pagi merekah.
SalibMu, Kristus, tanda pengasihan
mengangkat hati yang remuk redam,
membuat dosa yang tak terperikan
di lubuk cinta Tuhan terbenam.
Di dalam Tuhan kami balik lahir,
insan bernoda kini berseri,
*teruras darah suci yang mengalir
di salib pada bukit Kalvari.

*teruras = disembuhkan

32. PUJI TUHAN, HALELUYA (KJ 391)

Refrein
Puji Tuhan, Haleluya!
Puji Tuhan, Haleluya
kini dan selamanya! Amin

Mengapa, orang Kristen, harapanmu lemah?
Tuhanmu berkuasa di atas dunia!

Segala sesuatu ditanggung Tuhanmu
Mengapa lagi takut? Percayalah teguh!

Ikutilah Rajamu yang bangkit dan menang
bebanmu jadi ringan, gelapmu pun terang

Sampaikanlah firmanNya di mana-mana pun
serta perbuatanNya teruskan bertekun!

Damaikanlah sengketa, satukan yang pecah
ampuni yang bersalah, lindungi yang lemah!

Kendati kuasa dunia selalu menentang

35. I HEAR THY WELCOME VOICE
/I AM COMING LORD

I hear Thy welcome voice
That calls me, Lord, to Thee
For cleansing in Thy precious blood
That flowed on Calvary

Refrain
I am coming, Lord
Coming now to Thee!
Wash me, cleanse me in the blood
That flowed on Calvary

Though coming weak and vile
Thou dost my strength assure
Thou dost my vileness fully cleanse
Till spotless all, and pure

’Tis Jesus calls me on
To perfect faith and love
To perfect hope and peace and trust
For earth and heav’n above

’Tis Jesus who confirms
The blessed work within
By adding grace to welcomed grace
Where reigned the pow’r of sin

And He the witness gives
To loyal hearts and free
That every promise is fulfilled
If faith but brings the plea

All hail, atoning blood!
All hail, redeeming grace!
All hail, the gift of Christ our Lord
Our Strength and Righteousness

36. HOLY, HOLY, HOLY! LORD GOD ALMIGHTY
Reginald Heber, 1783-1826

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down be fore Thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide Thee
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see
Only Thou art holy-- there is none beside Thee
Perfect in pow'r, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

SUCI, SUCI, SUCI (KJ 2)

Suci, suci, suci Tuhan Maha kuasa!
Dikau kami puji di pagi yang teduh.
Dikau kami puji di pagi yang teduh.

Suci, suci, suci, murah dan perkasa,
Allah Tritunggal, agung namaMu!

Suci, suci, suci! Kaum kudus tersungkur
Di depan takhtaMu memb’ri mahkotanya
Segenap malaikat sujud menyembahMu,

Tuhan, Yang Ada s’lama-lamanya.

Suci, suci, suci! Walau tersembunyi,
Walau yang berdosa tak nampak wajahMu,
Kau tetap Yang Suci, tiada terimbangi,

Kau Mahakuasa, murni kasihMu

Suci, suci, suci! Tuhan Mahakuasa!
Patut Kau dipuji seluruh karyaMu.
Suci, suci, suci, murah dan perkasa,

Allah Tritunggal, agung namaMu!

37. YESTERDAY, TODAY, FOREVER
Albert B. Simpson (1843 – 1919)

Oh, how sweet the glorious message
Simple faith may claim
Yesterday, today, forever
Jesus is the same
Still He loves to save the sinful
Heal the sick and lame
Cheer the mourner, still the tempest
Glory to His name

He who was the friend of sinners
Seeks thee, lost one, now
Sinner, come, and at His footstool
Penitently bow
He who said, "I'll not condemn thee
Go and sin no more;"
Speaks to thee that word of pardon
As in days of yore

Oft on earth He healed the suff'rer
By His mighty hand
Still our sicknesses and sorrows
Go at His command
He who gave His healing virtue
To a woman's touch
To the faith that claims His fullness
Still will give as much

As of old He walked to Emmaus
With them to abide
So through all life's way He walketh
Ever near our side
Soon again we shall behold Him
Hasten, Lord, the day!
But 'twill still be this same Jesus
As He went away

Refrain
Yesterday, today, forever
Jesus is the same
All may change, but Jesus never!
Glory to His name!
Glory to His name!
Glory to His name!
All may change, but Jesus never!
Glory to His name!

SUNGGUH INDAH KABAR MULIA (KJ 383)

Sungguh indah kabar mulia
hai percayalah!
Yesus Kristus tak berubah
s’lama-lamanya!
DarahNya tetap menghapus
dosa dan cela
Ia hibur yang berduka
Puji namaNya!

Refrein
Baik kemarin, hari ini s’lama-lamanya
Yesus Kristus tak berubah uji nama-Nya!
Puji nama-Nya, puji namaNya!
Yesus Kristus tak berubah
puji namaNya!

Ia cari yang berdosa
Cari dikau pun
Datanglah, rendahkan hati
S’rahkan dirimu!
Dulukala Ia sambut
Orang bercela
Kini dikau pun disambut
DiampuniNya

Badai dan gelora laut
Tunduk padaNya
Kini juga badai hati
DitenangkanNya
Ia yang telah bergumul
Di Getsemani
Mendampingi kita dalam
Saat yang pedih

Yesus yang telah ampuni
Petrus yang sesat
Dan menghapus kebimbangan
Tomas yang bersyak
Dan selalu mengasihi
Murid-muridNya
Ia mau menyambut dikau
Dalam kasihNya

Waktu murid ke Emaus
Yesus beserta
Kita pun di jalan hidup
DisertaiNya
Yang terangkat dan kembali
Yesus inilah!
Kita ‘kan melihat Dia
Datang segera!

38. SOFTLY AND TENDERLY

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling for you and for me
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me

Refrain
Come home, come home
You who are weary, come home
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling
Calling, O sinner, come home!

Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading
Pleading for you and for me?
Why should we linger and heed not His mercies
Mercies for you and for me?

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing
Passing from you and from me
Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming
Coming for you and for me

Oh, for the wonderful love He has promised
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon
Pardon for you and for me

SUNGGUH LEMBUT TUHAN YESUS MEMANGGIL (KJ 353)

Sungguh lembut Tuhan Yesus memanggil
Memanggil aku dan kau
Lihatlah Dia prihatin menunggu
menunggu aku dan kau

Refrein
“Hai mari datanglah, kau yang lelah, mari datanglah!”
Sunggu lembut Tuhan Yesus memanggil
“Kau yang sesat, marilah!”

Janganlah ragu, Tuhanmu mengajak
mengajak aku dan kau
Jangan enggan menerima kasihNya
terhadap aku dan kau

Waktu serta kesempatan berlalu
yang dib’ri aku dan kau
nanti gelap kematian membayang
mengancam aku dan kau

Yesus berjanji memb’rikan kasihNya
kepada aku dan kau
Ia mengampuni orang berdosa
seperti aku dan kau

39. HE LEADETH ME

He leadeth me, O blessed thought!
O words with heav’nly comfort fraught!
Whate’er I do, where’er I be
Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me

Refrain
He leadeth me, He leadeth me
By His own hand He leadeth me
His faithful foll’wer I would be
For by His hand He leadeth me

Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom
Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom
By waters still, o’er troubled sea
Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me

Lord, I would place my hand in Thine
Nor ever murmur nor repine
Content, whatever lot I see
Since ’tis my God that leadeth me

And when my task on earth is done
When by Thy grace the vict’ry’s won
E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee
Since God through Jordan leadeth me

TENANGLAH KINI HATIKU (KJ 410)

Tenanglah kini hatiku
Tuhan memimpin langkahku
Di tiap saat dan kerja
Tetap ‘ku rasa tangan-nya

Refrain
Tuhanlah yang membimbingku
Tanganku dipegang teguh
Hatiku berserah penuh
Tanganku dipegang teguh

Tak kusesalkan hidupku
Betapa juga nasibku
Sebab engkau tetap dekat
Tangan-mu ‘ku pegang erat

‘Pabila tamat tugasku
Kau b’rikan kemenangan-mu
Tak kutakuti maut seram
Sebab tanganku kau genggam

40. THERE IS A FOUNTAIN FILLED WITH BLOOD

There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel's veins
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains
Lose all their guilty stains
Lose all their guilty stains
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains

The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day
And there have I, as vile as he
Washed all my sins away
Washed all my sins away
Washed all my sins away
And there have I, as vile as he
Washed all my sins away

E'er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply
Redeeming love has been my theme
And shall be till I die
And shall be till I die
And shall be till I die
Redeeming love has been my theme
And shall be till I die

Then in a nobler, sweeter song
I'll sing your pow'r to save
When this poor lisping, stamm'ring tongues
Lies silent in the grave
Lies silent in the grave
Lies silent in the grave
When this poor lisping, stamm'ring tongue
Lies silent in the grave

Dear dying Lamb, thy precious blood
Shall never lose its power
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved, to sin no more
Be saved, to sin no more
Be saved, to sin no more
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved to sin no more

TERCURAH DARAH TUHANKU (KJ 35)

Tercurah darah Tuhanku di bukit Golgota
yang mau bertobat, ditebus, terhapus dosanya
terhapus dosanya, terhapus dosanya
yang mau bertobat, ditebus, terhapus dosanya

Penyamun yang di sisiNya dib’ri anugerah
pun aku yang penuh cela dibasuh darahNya
dibasuh darahNya, dibasuh darahNya
pun aku yang penuh cela dibasuh darahNya

Ya Anakdomba, darahMu tak hilang kuasanya
sehingga s’lamat umatMu dan suci s’lamanya
dan suci s’lamanya, dan suci s’lamanya
sehingga s’lamat umatMu dan suci s’lamanya

Sejak kupandang salibMu dengan iman teguh
kasihMulah kupuji t’rus seumur hidupku
seumur hidupku, seumur hidupku
kasihMulah kupuji t’rus seumur hidupku

Dan jika nanti lidahku tak lagi bergerak
tetap kupuji kuasaMu di sorgaMu kelak
di sorgaMu kelak, di sorgaMu kelak
tetap kupuji kuasaMu di sorgaMu kelak

Oleh kasihNya
Kepadaku

Walau dirantai oleh dosaku
Walau dirantai tak terlepas

Walaupun maut upah dosaku
Walaupun maut mengancamku

Allah mengutus Yesus, Tuhanku
Allah mengutus Sang Penebus

Yesuslah Kurban Tebusan dosa
Yesuslah Kurban pun bagiku

Sabda dan RohNya penuh anug’rah
Sabda dan RohNya mengundangku

Sabda kasihNya penawar haus
Sabda kasihNya air hidupku

Kasih sorgawi sumber selamat
Kasih sorgawi penghiburku

O Kasih Allah pelipur lara
O Kasih Allah, bahagiaku!

Hati dan jiwa bersukacita
Hati dan jiwa sejahtera

Akulah waris suka sorgawi
Akulah waris tempat kekal

Engkau kupuji, Kasih abadi Engkau kupuji selamanya

46. I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford

Refrain
I need Thee, oh, I need Thee
Every hour I need Thee
Oh, bless me now, my Savior
I come to Thee

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby
Temptations lose their pow’r when Thou art nigh

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain
Come quickly and abide, or life is vain

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will
And Thy rich promises in me fulfill

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One
Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son

YA TUHAN, TIAP JAM (KJ 457)

Ya Tuhan, tiap jam
‘Ku memerlukanMu
Engkaulah yang memb’ri
Sejahtera penuh

Refrein
Setiap jam, ya Tuhan
Dikau kuperlukan
‘Ku datang, Jurus’lamat
Berkatilah!

Ya Tuhan, tiap jam
Dampingi hambaMu
Jikalau Kau dekat
Enyah penggodaku

Ya Tuhan, tiap jam
Di suka-dukaku
Jikalau Tuhan jauh
Percuma hidupku

Ya Tuhan, tiap jam
Ajarkan maksudMu
B’ri janjiMu genap
Di dalam hidupku

Ya Tuhan, tiap jam
Kupuji namaMu
Tuhanku yang kudus
Kekal ‘ku milikMu!

47. O JESUS, I HAVE PROMISED

O Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end
Be Thou forever near me, my Master and my Friend
I shall not fear the battle if Thou art by my side
Nor wander from the pathway if Thou wilt be my Guide

Oh, let me hear Thee speaking in accents clear and still
I dare not trust my judgment: Thy way shall be my will
Oh, speak to reassure me, to hasten or control
Oh, speak, and help me listen, Thou Guardian of my soul

O Jesus, Thou hast promised to all who follow Thee
That where Thou art in glory there shall Thy servant be
And Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end
Oh, give me grace to follow, my Master and my Friend

Oh, let me see Thy footprints, and in them plant mine own
My hope to follow duly is in Thy strength alone
Oh, guide me, call me, draw me, uphold me to the end
And then in Heav’n receive me, my Savior and my Friend

YA YESUS ‘KU BERJANJI (KJ 369)

Ya Yesus, ‘ku berjanji setia padaMu
Kupinta Kau selalu dekat, ya Tuhanku
Di kancah pergumulan jalanku tak sesat
Kar’na Engkau Temanku, Pemimpin terdekat

Dekaplah aku, Tuhan, diribut dunia penuh

Berikanlah karunia mengikutMu teguh

48. WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer

Are we weak and heavy-laden
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee
Thou wilt find a solace there

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer
Soon in glory bright, unclouded
There will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there

"What a Friend We Have in Jesus" is a Christian hymn originally written by Joseph M. Scriven as a poem in 1855 to comfort his mother who was living in Ireland while he was in Canada. Scriven originally published the poem anonymously, and only received full credit for it in the 1880s. The tune to the hymn was composed by Charles Crozat Converse in 1868. William Bolcom composed a setting of the hymn. The hymn also has many versions with different lyrics in multiple languages, such as the Japanese version "Itsukushimi Fukaki" (いつくしみ深き?, lit. "Deep Affection"), or a version sung during World War I with the line "When this bloody war is over" in place of the original title. The Handbook to the Lutheran Hymnal notes, "In spite of the fact that this hymn, with its tune, has been criticized as being too much on the order of the sentimental gospel type, its popularity remains strong, and the hymn retains a place in modern hymnals."

In Asia
In Japan, the hymn's title was originally translated as "Itsukushimi Fukaki" (いつくしみ深き?, lit. "Deep Affection"), which is what it is best known by. In 1910, Daisui Sugitani re-wrote the lyrics in Japanese and changed the title to "Hoshi no Yo" (星の界?, lit. "World of Stars"). Another version was written by Ryūkō Kawaji with the title "Hoshi no Sekai" (星の世界, lit. "World of Stars"). It is also known by the title "Tsumi Toga o ni Nō" (つみとがをにのう). The hymn is popular to play during wedding ceremonies in Japan. The tune of the hymn was used as a basis for two songs from the Japanese visual novel Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume produced by Key.

In Indonesia, the hymn is known as "Yesus Kawan Sejati" and is sung in Indonesian or Batak (the indigenous language of North Sumatra) in Protestant churches (around 6% of the population). The majority of Indonesians are Muslim (around 86%) and consequently the hymn is not widely known. However, many years ago (prior to when Suharto seized power in 1967) the same music was adopted for a popular patriotic song entitled "Ibu Pertiwi".
In India, the hymn is a very important song and is sung as "Yeshu kaisa dost pyara". The song is common during gloomy services (death, passion week and burial service).

Ia tahu kelemahanmu, naikkan doa pada-Nya

Adakah hatimu sarat, jiwa ragamu lelah
Yesuslah penolong kita, naikkan doa pada-Nya
Biar kawan lain menghilang, Yesus kawan yang baka
Ia mau menghibur kita atas doa pada-Nya

49. COME TO THE SAVIOUR
George F. Root (1820 – 1895)

Come to the Saviour, make no delay
Here in His Word He has shown us the way
Here in our midst He's standing today
Tenderly saying: Come!

Refrain
Joyful, joyful will the meeting be
When from sin our hearts are pure and free
And we shall gather, Saviour, with Thee
In our eternal home

"Suffer the children!" O hear His voice!
Let ev'ry heart leap forth and rejoice!
And let us freely make Him our choice
Do not delay, but come

Think once again, He's with us today
Heed now His blest command and obey
Hear now His accents tenderly say
Will you, My children, come?

YESUS MEMANGGIL (KJ 355)

Yesus memanggil, “Mari seg’ra!”
Ikutlah jalan s’lamat baka
Jangan sesat dengar sabdaNya
“Hai marilah seg’ra!”

Refrein
Sungguh, nanti kita ‘kan senang
Bebas dosa, hati pun tent’ram
Bersama Yesus dalam terang
Di rumah yang kekal

Hai marilah, kecil dan besar
Biar hatimu girang benar
Pilihlah Yesus – jangan gentar
Hai mari datanglah!

Jangan kaulupa, Ia serta
P’rintah kasihNya patuhilah
Mari dengar lembut suaraNya
“AnakKu, datanglah!”

50. JESUS WANTS ME FOR A SUNBEAM
Edwin Othello Excell (1851-1921)

Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
To shine for Him each day
In every way try to please Him
At home, at school, at play

Refrain
A sunbeam, a sunbeam
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
A sunbeam, a sunbeam
I'll be a sunbeam for Him

Jesus wants me to be loving
And kind to all I see
Showing how pleasant and happy
His little one can be

I will ask Jesus to help me
To keep my heart from sin
Ever reflecting His goodness
And always shine for Him

I'll be a sunbeam for Jesus
I can if I but try
Serving Him moment by moment
Then live with Him on high

YESUS MENGINGINKAN DAKU (KJ 424)

Yesus menginginkan daku, bersinar bagi-Nya,
dimanapun 'ku berada, 'ku mengenangkanNya

Refrein
Bersinar, bersinar; itulah kehendak Yesus
bersinar, bersinar, aku bersinar terus

Yesus menginginkan daku, menolong orang lain

Akhirnya ia membuat syair “Aku ingin menjadi sinar matahari” (I’ll Be a Sunbeam).

51. YA ALLAH YANG MAHA TINGGI

Ya Allah yang Mahatinggi
Kau pencipta dunia ini
Kami juga Tuhan ciptakan
agar Dikau tetap di puji
Engkau Bapa yang memberkati
Tiap orang yang rendah hati
Tolonglah kami sekarang ini
Dan selamanya

Ya Allah yang Mahakasih
Engkau lahir di dunia ini
Engkau mati di kayu salib
Engkau rela mengganti kami
Dari kubur telah Kau bangkit
Kuasa maut tiada lagi
Pimpinlah kami sebab engkaulah
Jalan yang benar

Ya Allah yang Mahasuci
Engkau turun ke dunia ini
Kau menyala bagaikan api
Memurnikan nurani kami
Mengobarkan semangat kami
Agar kami menjadi b’rani
Utuslah kami ke dunia ini
Dengan kuasa-Mu
